I just started hearing this song, but the timing of this one turning up is funny.  I’m writing a point where Luke and Nyx are fighting.  This is a fight that is nothing like their previous scuffles and arguments.  Nyx is simply lashing out at Luke in rage until he storms off and now they have to make up.  It didn’t help that Luke opted to insult everyone around him by saying they (two seasoned warriors and Nyx) don’t understand what it’s like to lose a loved one.  Basically, both of them are having an emotional foot-in-mouth exchange and now they have to repair the damage before heading into their biggest battle to date.

The reason I find this song funny is that for a while, Luke and Nyx have been each others hero.  They’ve been saving each other from monsters, villains, emotional issues, and whatever else has come at them.  So, who in the world is supposed to be their hero when they’re at their breaking point and angry at each other?

(I so want to put one of my new sections up tomorrow for the Sneak Peek.  I should just drop the fear of spoilers and do it.)
