Birthday Aftermath

There really isn’t much of an aftermath.  I’ve got a bunch of work to do today and a stiff spine to make sure there’s extra challenge.  The dining room table chair that I spend most of my days on isn’t nice to my back.  There are office chairs in the basement, but I’d just be sitting there trying to balance a laptop, printed out copy of my book, cellphone, glass of seltzer, and the house phone on my lap.  That would just result in further problems, so I’ll take the lesser of two pains.  Besides, I’m old and the back pain is par for the course.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday.  Also, a big thank you to Gwen Bristol for setting up a virtual birthday party.  I did see a good spike in eBook sales in the afternoon, which is one of the best presents of the day.

Now, we return you to your regularly scheduled Legends of Windemere posts.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Glad you enjoyed it Charles, You are a awesome person/Incredibly gifted and talented author/writer and the world need’s to know this!

=] Btw My back is also stiff but mine always is, nerve damage and broken spines and backs are a bit frustrating at times, especially when it’s cold and rainy.

I hope you feel better, remember to get up and stretch if you are going to be sitting in that uncomfortable chair a lot today!

    • Thanks for the compliments. Stretching is definitely something I have to start doing some more of. Sorry to hear about your back problems.

Thanks, and yea I also need to take my own advice..sometimes I forget and I end up paying for it when the time comes to go to sleep.

      • Yup. Get so into something that I never realize how many hours have passed. Now, if I could hook up a back massager to the crappy chair, I might be able to handle it better. Sadly, the wife didn’t like the idea of duct taping a female masseuse to the chair. Something about not wanting another mouth to feed.

HaHa I can see why she didn’t agree with that idea.

Maybe a pillow would help? Sometimes I use my body pillow on this wooden chair and it heps but other times it’s just annoying.

At least try it though, you never know it could be heaven for your back!

      • That’s the plan for today. My wife has a Nightmare Before Christmas pillow that I’m stealing. It’s just been sitting in a corner for a year, so I figure it’s fair game by now.
