Behind the Scenes of Me

I’ve volunteered/asked to be included in Novelspot’s Behind-the-Scenes promotion.  Basically, I write my path to becoming an author into 7 posts, which will be posted throughout a week.  They have some space, so I’m going to start in on this near the end of the week once I get a solid grasp of the life divisions.

So far I’ve got:

Early Years- Reading/Writing as a child and wandering away from it for a while.

High School-  When I made the decision to be an author.

College/D&D-  When I went for the degree and created Windemere through gaming.

Vanity Press-  My two attempts at trying a vanity press.

Day Job vs. Writing-  The tough balancing act that I tried for 10 years.  A lifetime of outlining and planning.

Amazon Self-Publishing-  The decision to go for the self-publishing route.

I’m not sure of a 7th to put in there because there is a lot of coverage throughout those categories.  I’m seeing people posted about how they got into it.  I’m playing with the idea of making one day a point where I show how insane I almost went by trying to design the Legends of Windemere video game or turn it all into a series told through poetry with each character having his or her own poetic style.  That was a mess.

I’m still going to do editing today and tomorrow while taking breaks to plan this out. I can feasibly crank this out in a few days because I’ve pondered it a lot.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
