I’m rather limited in what I can do today, so I’m feeling bad about not trying to catch up on my blog reader. I have a feeling that I’m going to have to return on Monday and start where I land. I do have the time to reveal two new advertising resources for independent authors that I’m going to sign on with:
I found this site on twitter and have been looking over it. It’s a site for readers that has various services for independent authors:
- Author Cards/Bios for $25
- Interviews
- Reviews
- Banners for various amounts
- Personal website
- ‘Just Out’ section for new releases
- Author’s Day (still trying to figure this one out)
I’m probably just going to do the review and the Just Out section because I already spent more than I should on advertising in the last week. That’s my own personal obstacle, so don’t take that as a negative on their prices. $25 seems to be the norm.
This site was created by a guy named Tom who is also an independent author, so I’d guess he knows the same pains and frustrations that we know. It’s a simple site to navigate and he has the following services:
- Free Listing on his Blog; Donating $5 or $25 dollar donation will bump you up the list. He lists 5-10 books a day. May take 2-3 weeks depending on how many he has.
- Daily tweets for $35
- Permanent Featured Author for $35. Gives you the Daily Tweet for free.
- Excerpts for $35
- Banners for various amounts
I’m probably only going to do the Free Listing with a donation at first until I find out more about the other services. I’m not sure if they’re $35 as a one shot or per month or whatever. He does say that he gets 50-100 listing requests a day, so the wait is long without a donation.
Hope this helps a few people and that these sites work for you and me.
