National Walking Day

Since I’ve been doing as much walking as I can thanks to Pokemon Go, I thought I’d post about this holiday.  Haven’t been able to walk as much as I wanted during the winter thanks to that polar vortex in January.  I had to go around the mall, which can get boring and it’s crowded.  Don’t think it counts as fresh air either with all of the people coughing and making other noises.  Anyway, enjoy the memes and maybe try to get some fresh air if you can.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I do feel like that eagle. I have to force myself to walk, not something I particularly enjoy. Can’t wait until the pools open.

I remember watching that sketch growing up. I laughed about it for days.

Glad you’re walking more. Sometimes I think about returning to Pokemon Go. I remember the library was a great gym. Are they still doing gyms? It’s been awhile since I played it.

  3. I did not know this was a day, but nearly every day is a walking day for me.

  4. Caught in the rain (48 degrees),

I nevertheless delighted in a morning walk,

the concrete sprinkled with small twigs

that turned out to be earthworms hatchlings.

    I maneuvered around each one

    but arrived home soggy.
