What Are Some Holiday Drinks?

I’m really curious about this.  Originally, I was going to make this a Ye Olde Shoppe skit, but I thought an open forum would be better.  There has to be many holiday drinks throughout all of the world’s cultures.

For me, I really only know about wine for Judaism.  We have it with every ceremony, especially the Sabbath and Passover.  Nothing really exotic as far as I’m concerned. Not like the famous Eggnog of Christmas.  Those are the only two that I can really find and I even looked for non-alcoholic stuff.  Best I could do there was Egg Creams, which weren’t holiday specific.

So, what are some holiday drinks that you know about?  Even if it’s just a family tradition or non-alcoholic.  We aren’t lushes here.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Glögg, a popular Swedish punch made from spiced wine, Glühwein, the signature drink at Christmas markets across Germany, and mulled wine which is a similar spiced wine drank in the UK at Christmastime. They are all good and keep you nice and warm.

Mulled wine is traditional here in the UK. In my family, we tend to drink a good wine. One that’s too good to mull!
