As I mentioned before, I need to think of something else to do for Tuesdays. I can’t keep doing teasers from the same book. Anyway, I’ve got a few ideas that I’ll just throw out there to see if anything gets a unanimous agreement.
- Doing teasers from all of my books instead of one.
- Do Ask-a-Character interviews for the War of Nytefall cast.
- Open it to guest posts. This is a risk because I’m in trouble if I don’t have anyone.
- Revive Questions 3 or make it a Question 1 thing in the hopes of getting a lot of comments.
- Leave it blank and only reblog.
- Make it Bedlam day and give up trying to publish that series since nobody seems interested in it outside of this blog. (This would be down the road since I never edited the next book.)
- Find a question that interests me and write about that. No idea where I would look, but it’s something.
That’s all I can think of, so we’ll see if anything interests people. Personally, I’m happy to go with any of those.

There are many bloggers out there that set up a weekly theme and stick with it for months or even a year. If they hit it big and it catches on, then they are successful. But if they don’t, then they risk losing their followers. If you are getting a good following and comments by giving us a tidbit from your books, then continue until the comments start dropping off. The blogs I enjoy are the ones that stimulate a comment or question. It can be something provocative or something to share as long as it gets a response. What seems to be popular is the reblog. However, when we have several individuals that reblog the same post, this fails too. All in all, I think #7 is the best choice, yet there is no rule that says you have to post something daily or even weekly. Post when you have something that you want to share with your followers. BTW, I like the tidbits of the Windemere’s series.

Thanks. The tough part with the teasers is that I can only do so much before the entire book ends up there. I used to do weekly themes that covered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but those are getting harder to come up with. Those are hit and miss while the teasers can be consistent. Although, I’ve noticed a lot of people avoid them out of fear of spoilers too. It just feels kind of weird to have a gap during the week when it’s the weekend that tends to be very slow.

I agree with Chuck about number 7. But I also like number 4.

I might try a combination of 4 and 7 then go back to the teasers for a month whenever I have a new book coming out. Right now, I’m setting up a post for next week that kind of relates to 4 and 7.

Try number seven; you could write about anything and if you run out of questions, ask us.

Thanks. I’m thinking of trying that for a bit until I have a new book to do teasers for. I might even use this coming Sunday to ask for blog questions. Been a while since I tried that.

I always enjoyed questions three. Those and the Olde Shoppe posts too. I deliberately try not to post every day, because I don’t want to get mundane. I’m also spread across two blogs to a small degree. I’m feeling kind of a blog burnout lately, but that always changes. I need a good topic for Story Empire in a week.

I’ve found that I’m running out of Olde Shoppe topics. Definitely not enough left in the tank to make it a weekly. I might play around a little the next month before I start teasing the summer release. Questions 3 could definitely make a comeback.

That’s kind of like my Idea Mill posts. They take time to research, and I haven’t had time at all. I’m sure I’ll have another one this year, but might not have more than that.

I think another issue has been my work ‘schedule’. I’ve pretty much been editing and writing since January with only 2 weeks break due to my son’s school schedule. It’s rather exhausting and might be clogging the other creative thoughts.

I like the idea of the character interviews! Especially as your characters sounds so interesting it would be great to get to know them better. 😀

Thanks. Maybe I’ll give it a shot with Clyde and see how it goes. They were always very hit and miss because they depended entirely on comment interaction.

Some kind of combination of a few of those tings, perhaps? Open it to guest posts, but work on a few posts for yourself on weeks when there aren’t any, or reblog something if all else fails.

As far as your current series goes, I’d be interested in some glimpses of history or events where the vampires played a role, either before or after the War of Nytefall.

I can’t do much with after because that would reveal who lives and dies. The earlier stuff is a possibility as long as I can decide on if the vampires were major players in the world.
