Not even sure why I’m writing this, but I guess I’m so drained that I need a little outside opinion. Today I’m doing laundry and trying to rest since next week is another round of chauffeuring and exhaustion. I’ve been listening to a new alternate rock station that showed up last weekend, which has me wanting to do a Thursday post with music videos.
Mostly, I think I want to do a post where I give a song for each of the champions and one for them as a group. I’ve done this before in the past and I think I’ll skip Fizzle to keep it at 7 videos. These types of posts are really hit or miss, but I figure I’ll give it a shot.
Either way, I’m kind of curious if anyone who has read my books or read about my characters here have ever thought of a song for them. I remember doing soundtracks for fictional characters a few times in college, so it could be a thing. Do you have have songs for your characters?

Never thought about that, John. It’s an intriguing idea though. Sorry, can’t help with songs for your characters. Remembered a song I sang repeatedly as a little kid and I’m putting that in the book. Thanks! 🌷 Christine

I think this is a good idea, as is anything that brings characters to life and gives them more depth.I draw a great deal of inspiration from music when I’m writing.

I never really thought about songs for characters, but I can see where that would be interesting. Now I’ll have to pay attention and see if any songs jump out at me while reading.

Maybe it’s because I need music when writing.

I enjoy listening to music when I write too, but I seldom really pay attention to it, it just helps me focus better.

True. It does become part of the background, but I think it has a subconscious effect on me at times. Writing an action scene to certain types of music and songs definitely helps.

That’s one of the reasons my Pandora play list has a lot of rock and roll. Though, it’s starting to attract modern hip hop for some reason.

There was a soundtrack in my mind when I wrote Playground. I delve deeper into it with The Hat. Never thought about posting videos like that.

Mostly, Rock and Roll with probably some older Pop. Never got into classical music. Closest I came was listening to a lot of Jazz, which really isn’t that close.
