Over the last few weeks I have been sharing part of my father’s memoirs. Particularly his time at sea in World War Two.. As a family we were very grateful that he shared his life from his birth in Mansfield in 1916 up to his late 70s in such detail. Giving us not only a glimpse into his history but going back further into his family tree.
I have also been sharing my memories since the age of 9 years old using music and film to mark the years. But there were major world events that took place during that time, that I feel deserve recognition and a personal perspective.
