Humanity’s Best and Worst

They stand on the same stage
Humanity’s worst
Bringing out its best

The poem was longer, but I just couldn’t get it right.  Left the part that was rattling in my since last night.  Yeah.  I’m going to stop there.  A lot I want to say, but not on a public forum.  Hope all of my followers who have family in Paris have heard from them and they’re okay.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. A very thoughtful post. We all have to wonder what drives these criminals

  2. We’re waiting to hear back from friends who live there. Electra went to a French school, so it was particularly shocking to us.

  4. well said, I see exactly what you’re saying, pal. My own poem relating to this dreadful experience has the same theme. The world is united in sharing love with those in Paris, regardless of faith or any other feature synonymous with our humanity.

Simple but poignant, your poem catches the unreality of yet another atrocity. I’m beginning to wonder if these horrors will ever stop.
