Legends of Windemere Heroes (And Queen Trinity) Theme Songs!

So, we have 9 videos for 9 characters and all for your entertainment.  Watch the ones you want or just take a while to get through it if you want.  This is all for fun.  You can give your own suggestions and ideas in the comments if you want to join in the fun.  Now, this is all from my perspective and that includes running into Book 11.  Does that mean I need to do a spoiler warning?

The one from yesterday: Luke Callindor. I kind of hear a song about someone wondering who is going to tell their story of courage and fighting a big fight. Luke’s desire to be a remembered hero and his sacrificial nature seems to fit this song very well. Though the leading an army part is odd . . . or is it?

Nyx gets this one because it just sounds like a brutal fight song.  Looking over the books, our dear channeler has the most amount of bloody, violent fights in the series.  She gives as hard as she gets and god help anyone who doesn’t knock her down for good.  For anyone curious, I stopped counting the brutal fights/events for Nyx when I got to double digits.

Sari gets an instrumental song because I can so see her dancing to this.  There’s a water connection and a happy energy that the character always seems to come back to. An indomitable spirit maybe?

Timoran was a tough one and I’m still not sure about this. As a wise and powerful barbarian, most songs only touch on one part of his persona.  So this one could change easily.

Delvin Cunningham gets this one because . . . well, I don’t think I have to explain it. He’s becoming kind of the Captain America of the group in that he’s the stable, not over the top hero.  The ‘I’m not superhuman’ line rings really true for him. To be fair, Luke and Nyx have had their turns with this song too.

I can’t really explain this one without spoilers.  Poor Dariana.

Aside from Puff the Magic Dragon and a bunch of metal songs, there isn’t much out there for a dragon.  So Fizzle was a tough one and I went with a video game song.  Even though he has a lot of magic and wisdom, the little guy fills in the ‘mascot’ role of the series. So I gave him an upbeat, silly one.  Though Chocobos are pretty badass, especially in FF Tactics.

I really can’t do a theme song list without the one I search for whenever I have a Trinity scene to write.  Especially when she’s interacting with Nyx.  Out of all of the villains, I think our dear Chaos Elf Queen is the best embodiment of a rival.  Maybe it’s that she has the close, respectful feud with Nyx, but she’s definitely a lot of fun to write.

Finally, we have Kira Grasdon.  No explanation needed . . . maybe . . . spoilers?

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I love the Kira video, all you needed was an old man (her father), as an agent!!

Perfect…all that glitters is not gold and you can always come home again.

  3. How clever to associate each character with a song. Music can tell us so much, and I really enjoyed your choices 😀

Wow!!! Such great choices, Charles! I’d love that Lindsey Stirling instrumental piece to be my theme song! I loved Timoran’s too, though I can see the difficulty of finding something well suited to his personality. And oh man! The one for Kira is so powerful!!! Luke’s and Fizzle’s songs were so fun!
