Heading into a Busy Weekend

Well that was a successful cover reveal and now it’s all about waiting for the debut on Friday.  Building hype throughout the week and making sure everything is in place.  I’m editing Book 8 and I’ll be hitting the first of the ‘recovered’ chapters.  These are the 3 that were wiped out by a hard drive crash and I had to rewrite.  I’m nervous about what I’ll find in there since part of me thinks I rushed it.  Still I have all weekend to edit . . . wait.  Oops.

Yeah, I’m going to busy most of the weekend.  I have a family birthday party tomorrow and that’s in the dead center of the day.  After that is laundry and maybe some editing.  Sunday is another dead center of the day event, but this is a volunteer thing.  My friends made a call for house painting help and I’m going to lend a hand.  So I’ll finish the editing on Monday and then . . .

Dean Winchester (Just got Seasons 6 and 8 from Cyber Monday!)

Yeah.  I have no idea.  I won’t start writing Book 9 until after CURSE OF THE DARK WIND is out.  Then I’ll have the 2 weeks of son time, so that’ll slow down.  I have some ideas to toy with throughout the week.  I’ll be outlining the future website on Saturday so my friend can tell me what he thinks on Sunday.  That won’t be built until maybe February since I’m still trying to find a host and wrap my head around things.  At least my new author bio is done.  Now I’m rambling.  Off to do other stuff.  Have a fun weekend.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Blue Host held my web site briefly. Great customer service but not cheap. I let it go.

    • I’ve heard good and bad about it. How much was it?

I don’t recall exactly but I know to have the domain name (which I still have, that was less than twenty dollars for two) website hosted, some security protection, SEO enhancement was over $250.00

      • That’s a lot. Though i’m not sure what SEO enhancement is.

Working with keywords and data some sort of way that increases your web visibility in search engines. (More than that but I couldn’t explain it) It was way more than what I needed but I was pretty naive and bought up whatever sounded like a positive and useful thing. Probably a bipolar moment.

      • It sounds familiar now. I’ll probably go for basic set up and add as things move forward. Talking with a friend about it this weekend.

Nice to have friends you can mull things over with first. Sounds like a good plan to start with the basics and add on if the need arises. They were nice enough to return most of my money though, except for some feature I had purchased that was supported by a contracting outside company, not Blue Host.

      • That’s something I guess I should be careful of. Third parties can always cause issues. I’ve been talking to Jason about the hosting service (Weebly) that he uses. Though many people keep telling me to stick to WordPress, but I already have the blog. As I’ve been told, this needs a different platform.
