I have just enough time to go over a few blog posts and then it’s time to prepare for a big adventure. This is the first time I’m bringing the toddler to the Bronx Zoo, which is where I loved going as a kid. I haven’t been there in years, so this is going to be fun for me too. I’ll probably end up being exhausted by the end of the day, so you might not hear from me again until tomorrow morning.
Here are a few bits of info I’m leaving behind:
- I STILL HAVE 5 SLOTS OPEN FOR THE COMPASS KEY BLOG TOUR! AUGUST 27-31 NEED VOLUNTEERS!
The Compass Key has just reached the following:
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #7,589 Paid in Kindle Store.
- Still no Top 100 List, but I’m about 35-50 ranks away from one of them. Unfortunately, I might not see it happen today or be able to post about it unless it holds until I get home this evening. It’ll be great if I can use a screen shot for a post or a Facebook promo, but it really depends on if I sell any copies throughout today. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it’ll happen before we leave for the zoo.
That’s really it. Hope everyone has a great day. Also a fellow author is debuting a book tomorrow so go wish Elaine Jeremiah good luck. I’m off to see the red pandas.

Hope you have a great day Charles. Happy to help out on the blog tour if you need it. I have not been around due to hols etc.. but I am back now and finding my way through the cobwebs that have been littering my blog! 🙂

Okey dokey. Don’t forget to remind me though – my memory is bad at the best of times! 🙂

Okay. You can schedule it in advance too. That definitely helps those of us with twitchy memories. 😀

I know I can – but that requires planning Charles. Not always top of my to do list 😉

Fingers crossed. Though the free food and housing is appealing.

Thanks so much for the mention Charles. Hope you and toddler have a lovely time at the zoo. I’ve always loved going to the zoo, although I haven’t been for some years now. 🙂

We saw most of it and were there from opening to close. Probably make a quick post before passing out. Hopefully I wake up in the bed and not on the floor.

It was a lot of fun. I’m exhausted and barely functional, but it was worth it. 9:30 PM and the little guy is still awake . . . ugh.

Oh man, I want to see the monkeys. 🙂

So many kinds of monkeys. Sadly, the gibbons were hiding. The baby gorilla was adorable though. Fun seeing the mother do things with the baby that my wife and I do with the toddler.

That would be a great time to visit the zoo (not the gibbons part). So, do any animals have magic powers in Windemere?

There are magical beasts and strange creatures. Drites can cast spells and griffins can manipulate wind to go faster. That’s really it so far. The animals we know of today don’t have the capacity to focus their aura for actual spells. Rarely would one be able to instinctively make itself invisible, enhance a sense, or set off a survival spell. It would only be in times of desperation and sheer terror, which still has a slim chance.
