Some notes because things have gone askew this week:
- Laptop is fixed, but I’m going to finish writing the book on the desktop. Testing out Dropbox with this and the laptop means I work upstairs where it’s a sauna. This is why I wanted to finish the book last week.
- Toddler’s ‘Celebration Day’ was today and it was fun. Though he was the only kid that wasn’t going to be brought home after, so we took him home anyway. I’m finally getting to the computer right now.
- Heat and stress have left me exhausted, but I don’t want this book project to fall into next week. Mostly because I don’t want to know what else can go fucking wrong.
- The post about ‘Super Senses’ that went up today was supposed to be for July 19th. I’ve deleted it on all my social media. I was trying to set it up during the circus and failed to change the month. Oops.
- It doesn’t matter where I go. People always find me when I’m working.

I’m working on creating a whole new dimension for writers to go to. It’s a place where the temperature is always perfect, the right music is playing (or it’s totally silent) and hardware, software, pens and pencils live forever. Will let you know when it’s ready.

Good luck. Though I think each other will need to rent out a personal, soundproof room.

Okay, one of us needs more sleep, because that sentence made no sense to me whatsoever.

Should have said ‘each author will need to rent out a personal, soundproof room’. Was responding to the mention of music, but trying to type while a phone and a toddler went off.

Too bad there’s no way to unplug the toddlers, eh? haha. Could always stick them in the soundproof room together though.

I think I’d go mad if I couldn’t hear them. Silence means they’re up to something.

#5… oh so true. Also, I just read your “Author Facts” page and thoroughly enjoyed.
I can’t seem to find any way to contact you (perhaps that is intentional as seen by #5). Would you please email me at leigh.michaels(at)authorleighmichaels(dot)com? This is regarding my “little project.” Thanks! 🙂

It was a sad day when he grew too big for it. Though we have a bigger replacement now. Reversible too.

Glad to hear the laptop has been resurrected … your son is adorable … too bad about the heat , think at least a fan might help as AC is expensive … oops things happen especially under stress, don’t worry about it … uhm hope your not working now! Have a great week-end, I’ve found that writing at dawn helps when it’s hot.

The fan does help a bit, but the humidity causes a problem around midday. It’s been easier to handle today. Thankful for that since my goal is to finish the last of the lost sections. Feel like losing this week has pushed me back on relaxing, which is an odd thought.
