Forgot a Goal

I forgot a goal for the coming weeks, which might be a repeat from before.

I plan on going through the series I have planned and cleaning things up again.  It always happens after a few months that I find some no longer work alone or I find connection between them.  For example, Guinevere Archer is feeling more like a supporting character and her storyline works perfectly for one of the newly planned Sin books.  So, I’m going to cannibalize a bunch with notes to explain their connections.  A lot may be going to Sin or Project Phoenix where they can thrive.  If they prove popular in those series then I’ll give them a stand alone book using the current notes.

Part of the reason is that I’m seeing how some of my series are more core and should be focused on.  As I do that, the side projects are appearing as extensions to the core ideas or distractions.  We’ll see what happens.  I’m still guessing that several will remain, so I’m probably only looking at the loss of 5-6 flights of fancy.

Wonder which series will survive and which will go.  Any bets?  Not that people know of all my series, so I don’t really expect an answer.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. You don’t expect an answer, but here is one anyway. I have no idea.:-)

Good luck with moving things around in your series! Whatever you decide to do, it will only make all of your stories stronger! 😀

Lol, completely off topic, but ~ Aww! That song made me feel all nostalgic! I love Chrono Trigger. XD

    • Thanks. Fingers crossed.

I miss that game. I listen to ‘The Black Mages’ station on Pandora and Chrono Trigger is always in there. In fact, the main theme just started up as I wrote this. If I could find the soundtrack for this and Castlevania 4, I’d be glued to my iPod for days.

Agreed – it’s a lot harder to find older game soundtracks. I’ve had some luck on Amazon though, and some at online stores that sell anime and game merchandise. While I couldn’t find Chrono Trigger, I think I may have found the Castlevania you’re looking for –

I’ve downloaded from them (Galbadia Hotel) before, and they have a good archive of music. 🙂

      • Interesting collection. I have a bunch of those on my iPod from when Napster was a thing. I know there’s a 3-Disc Chrono Trigger Soundtrack, but it’s expensive. On my ‘if I’m ever rich’ list of items.
