- Scheduling posts 2 weeks in advance leads to that moment you see a comment on a post and you have to read the post to see what you originally said.
- When teaching a boy toddler to pee standing up, yelling aiming directions does not help. Gets worse if they try to turn to you and apologize for the mess . . . while still peeing.
- I’m really sick of reading Beginning of a Hero. I do this for all my present and future fans. Seriously, I’m about ready to punt Nimby into the mouth of a dragon for shits and giggles.
- I should really be editing instead of making this list.
- Saying ‘I have plenty of time’ leads to hitting traffic, every read light, missing a turn, getting stuck waiting for 2 trains to pass, and valet parking backlog.
- There’s a hole in my pocket.
That’s about it. I’ll be putting together some ideas for Allure of the Gypsies promotional posts tomorrow and see what people think. After reading a few marketing suggestions, I got some good ideas. Still not sure if it will be the first or second week in November that this happens.

Cheerios in the toilet as targets is the way we did it.

Good idea. The issue is more of height too. I give him credit for trying though.

You know what I learned today? You were right. I tried what you told me. It’s only been a day, and the results are minimal so far, but it’s more than what I had before and…it’s only been a day, so that’s to be expected. Also, I’ve noted an effect on my Twitter itself. Thanks for the advice Charles.
You don’t have cliff notes or something that you’ve created for Beginning of a Hero? Maybe like a quick reference you can refer to whenever you’re approached by a fan with questions about your book?

You’re welcome. A few tweets a day with keep the ‘no sale panics’ away. Usually.
I should make cliff notes. I have outlines for most of the books, but the first one got changed a lot. I’m just going to fake it and pray when a fan asks specific questions. Praying may come in very useful.

I never even considered that fans asked specific questions about books. Haha. Maybe one day a fan will work up the gumption to create a Legends of Windemere Wiki. That would be pretty cool. 🙂 Speaking of wikis… There’s something I need to find out about Superman.

That’s one of my dreams. What’s the Superman question? Now I’m curious.

Ever heard of Superman Prime? Or Superman Prime 1 Million? I’m trying to find out how powerful he is because I’m hearing talk about Superman actually being more powerful than Goku. And there’s a Supersaiyin God. And Superman Prime 1 Million is apparently more powerful than even that.

If I remember the basics, he is Superman from the Prime universe. He started as Superboy and I think he is stronger than the main Superman. Been years since I looked into him.
Personally, I think Superman could beat Goku. He’s beaten up gods before. The finale of Justice League had an amazing fight between him and Darkseid. I should find that and send you the link.

I’m not sure if I’ve seen that one. I saw this movie with Darkseid, Kara and Superman. Forgot what it was called, though. I watched this on youtube some nights ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyl97TG8jbA. It’s been bothering me ever since because I’m much more fond of anime characters. Kind of a bias, but…man… 😦 Well, such is life, I guess. I know there isn’t a consensus, but seems the tide might be against Goku.

I remember that one and there’s another by an anime fan that goes the other way. They used original Superman Vs final level Goku. The thing people point out is that Goku can teleport with Superman to a Red Sun planet, but Superman doesn’t lose his powers immediately. Anyway, here’s that video that shows Superman is usually holding back:

On another note… I hear Bruce Wayne pays for all the destruction caused by the Justice League. Forbes did some humorous write up on the richest comic book characters. I think they underestimated Wayne’s net worth, though.

He’s got unlimited wealth. Depends entirely on the writer and what he needs to buy. 🙂

Why are you interested in the Goku Vs. Superman question?

An old debate I had with some random guys one day. Can’t remember where. Can’t even remember how it started, but we all ended up agreeing that Goku could obviously destroy Superman. But then, I was curious what others thought of that.
Lame thing to be researching, I know. There’s probably better uses of my time (like maybe posting something), but I need a resolution.

I went through the stage and always wondered why people think Goku could destroy Superman with ease. It’s like people think Superman wouldn’t even put up a fight. I’m a fan of both, but I will admit to having issues with Goku.
I remember hearing that DBZ was eventually going to be focused on Gohan with Goku staying dead. Fans rebelled and Goku was brought back, which led to him getting horribly overpowered. That was the reason I got bored with the series. It was always Goku with a new level of power that was previously unheard of. No offense.

Valid points and no offense taken. Now that you mention it, it is a bit overdone. While I’m a fan of Goku, admittedly, it’s mostly because of my fondness of how the Japanese draw their heroes’ and villains’ powers (and the expression thereof) versus how we in the West do. I’ve mimicked the styles (no idea what they’re called) for years just watching anime, but never really been able to grasp it quite so well. Though I’ve known a few people here that have just done some pretty amazing things with the styles.
Think I just had a fan girl moment. :p
Okay, I have to go. I’m supposed to be doing something but I can’t remember what it is. Such is procrastination.

I think the drawing style is manga. Look for a How to Draw Manga book in a store and that should help. They tend to be cheap or on sale, but there’s probably sites out there too.
You’re supposed to be analyzing the effect of the Spirit Bomb getting full-power punched by Superman.

Ah manga refers to the style of drawing? I always thought was just how the Japanese said comic book. Ha! Now I know and knowing is apparently half the battle. Go Cobra!
Commencing Spirit Bomb research. :p

Ah, Cobra. Terrible health plan, which is aptly named. Venomous like the snake and as inept as the GI Joe villains.

Wait…there’s really a health plan called Cobra…??? -.- Why would anybody name their health plan Cobra? For that matter, why would anybody buy it? 😦 Well, I suppose anything is better than the VA.

Government run too. Basically, if you lose your job, you can keep your benefits going for a few months. You end up paying your amount, the amount your employer used to pay, and another 10% every month. You keep the same level of medical benefits until you get new coverage or it expires.
The ridiculous part is that a person who is no longer working ends up having to pay more money. Because it isn’t like they’ll have anything else to worry about.

Wow… It is funny how that works. Never could afford benefits to begin with, but… well, just seems like a trap half the time. I really miss the military right now. That’s a bit depressing.
