Let’s Hear It for Goal Posts

Capybara

Capybara

This week is going to be busy with a lot of work and catch up.  It’s starting with a Breast Cancer Walk this morning as long as I can get my gut to calm down.  Been having to pop the dizzy pills a lot this week to fend off attacks.  In that arena, I have my follow-up with the gastro doctor on Thursday.  Should be fine unless they think tests are needed due to the sudden increase this week.  Funeral and trying to get two books ready for publishing might have done it though.  Nowhere to relax around here and not much support to relax anyway.  Getting the ‘you’re quitting after December 31st’ speech yesterday didn’t help even though he swears that isn’t what he means.  People around here wonder why my gut is always in pain.  Maybe my intestines are trying to escape to strangle me and put us out of our misery.

This is the last week of scheduled posts, so I’ll have to start working on ones for the next week.  Not sure about topics, so we’ll see what happens.  It will be on Halloween week, but I’m not sure I want to do a full week of that stuff.  Maybe on holidays in fiction or something to that extent.  I have so much to do.

The Post-Ramble Goals:

  1. Finish typing in hand edits for Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune.
  2. Prepare Catalysts for Halloween release.
  3. Continue preparing Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies for release.
  4. Use the ‘stop these habits’ lessons from Ionia to clean up Legends of Windemere: Beginning of a Hero.  Might do this today.
  5. Cook dinners if able.
  6. Try to finish The Slumber War set up.
  7. Glare at wife for still not being done with Legends of Windemere: The Compass Key.  Been months.
  8. Possibly sleep in one day this week.  Can’t be Thursday because of 9 AM appointment.
  9. Drink until I forget that Dinosaur Erotica exists.  Thanks, Cracked.com for this nugget of knowledge.  You’re welcome to everyone for sharing this horror.  Why should I suffer alone?
  10. Get back into the exercising schedule.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I love to see your goal posts articles. They remind me of the need to set goals and take things one at a time instead of trying to do it all at once and becoming so terribly overwhelmed. I need to start making a list of five things daily, and pat myself on the back if I can accomplish three in one day, and move two forward.

WOW! Really nice post, best of luck.:) I usually write down my goals for the day but end up doing nothing. Nonetheless, I’ll keep going hopefully i’ll be able to achieve at least one thing every day.

Wow. I’m lucky if I can achieve a couple goals in a week. You are ambitious. Best wishes, specially with the stomach and writing. cheers

  4. Your goal posts make my life seem calm. I can’t imagine the pressure connected with the December deadline. It is not natural for a writer to have a gun to the head and be expected to churn out the work. I guess it shows how good you really are.

Dino erotica. I think I found your next niche Charles! Think of the millions to be made writing dinosaur stories for perverts? 😉 Hope your support begins to, well, actually support at some point soon.
