Ghost Day

A night of disease
Coughing of a small child
A morning of exhaustion
Fringed by thunderstorms
I have no urge
Or energy to use
No appetite or drive
So today I will be shadow
A ghost of the community
Reading and liking
Sticking only to some haunts
A scheduled post at noon
Maybe a poem in another realm
To prove I am alive
I will respond if spoken to
Yet I may very well be short
Tomorrow I will wander out
My mind better than today
So for now I’m turning in
To watch you from afar

Translation– I’ll be here and on the CSB, but I will only be responding after handling a few morning posts and doing the daily promo.  Scheduled a post at noon and I’m too ‘meh’ to reschedule it.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Reading that comment about dancing with diaper hat and sock gloves. LOL! Now that’s an image…
