I know I said I’d do an update for my idea and here it is. It won’t happen because I feel like . . . I don’t know. Imagine every type of pain consolidated in your lower back. Bad enough to make you throw up. This hit me at 2pm and it’s 7:30 pm. This pain is not going away, so I have no idea what condition I’ll be in tomorrow.
This is what one gets for being an author at a dining room table with a crappy chair. I forgot to use my back supporter the last two days, so this living hell is on my head.
Thanks to all of the sudden Bestiary posts that I saw in my e-mail. Hopefully, I’ll be back in action tomorrow and my books can survive without my nightly tweets.
Take care Charles, get lots of rest.

I’ll try. Lying down seems to be the tough part. One step away from taking a mallet to my spine until everything below the bellybutton is numb.

Please invest in a new chair! Your back, your health is worth it :). Do hope you are better soon!

It’s part of the dining room set, so I’m stuck with it. I use a portable back supporter, which does the trick. I was just really bad about it this week.

Bummer. Take care.

Take care of yourself and your family first. This is a good idea, it’ll keep. FYI, I will be free all day on Saturday. I actually have some ideas for discussion topics. I am reminded of Steve Allen’s old “Meeting Of Minds” show, which I always thought was such a cool concept.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the weekend is typically taken by the toddler and wife. I’ll see what I can do both time-wise and physically.

I can imagine the feeling. Back pains are the worst and really can ruin a whole day. Rest up and have a speedy recovery 🙂

Bouncing might not be for a while. It’s currently a stiff stumbling back. 😉

Me too. Guess I have a few errands in the morning to get some more back friendly cushions.

Sorry about your back 😦 My dad has back pain all the time, and he usually lies on the floor, if that helps?

Thanks. I attempted that, but lying down is when it hurt the most. We think it was a severe muscle lock or something to that nature. Hot shower was the only thing that helped. Not an easy feat.

I’m so sorry Charles! I hope you feel better very soon! Same thing happened to me last year, long story, but it was my own fault (only the first time, the next two times were work-related). The only thing that worked for me was to move. I mean it. I hopped around, danced, rolled on the floor (I was trying to pop my back back in) and after three days, I was almost as good as new.
Wishing you a very speedy recovery!

Thanks. Moving helped a little. Hot shower and a mild pain med helped out the most.

Hmm, I never thought of a shower. Hope you’re feeling better!

Not sure how I came up with the idea. I think my logic went heat-thirsty-running water-shower.

If its any consolation, I have a wonky shoulder and hip, and have had since I was 13. Luckily, my mother is a chiropractor and has kept me from falling apart for the last 20 years!

Got a weak shoulder from an old injury, but that doesn’t bother me too much. I have a few chiropractors in the family, but one is in Cali and the other jumps between Connecticut and Panama. Should probably talk to them at some point.

They might help – but that sledgehammer I saw in a comment might do the trick too! 😉
Read all of the Beastiary last night… great stuff, Charles!

Thanks. That sledgehammer was definitely appealing by the 5th hour.

Oh Charles! I’m so sorry to hear of this! The book of poetry was lovely Charles. I will read it once more before posting my review. It was wonderful background for your Legend books. Each character is so unique…I don’t believe I have a favorite.

Thanks. I’m still trying to figure out if and where I’m going to put Blatherhorn Vale. I might make a few more bestiary books and then have a novel about those that guardian the regions.

Hope it is better real soon. A wheat bag may help to ease stiffness once you’re over the pain part.
