Wow. Yesterday was the first Sunday I had decent sales. Basically more than 15 eBooks sold. I should have known something was going to reverse that. Been dead in the water for most of the day. That must have been some brick wall I hit.
In other news, the last convention display is officially done. All that’s left is packing everything up and driving up there on Friday.
About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
The Monday curse

Curse indeed. Very much a manic day. Charles are you going to take pictures while at the convention? That would be pretty cool. Look forward to hearing your report. 🙂

We’re going to take pictures and I’m going to make a picture post Monday. By the time I get home on Sunday, I’m going to be too exhausted to do much.

Seems so. It used to be the Sunday curse.

For whatever it’s worth, I plugged your book and your Facebook page to all my Facebook friends. Hope it helps.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. I’m hoping it’s just a lull for the day. I wonder what the sales rates are for other authors in other genres.

Sorry to hear that, but I’m sure sales will pick back up while you’re at the convention!
Um, what’s a convention?

It’s a gathering of people to honor, interact, and . . . do stuff around a theme/topic/industry. I’m trying to think of a way to explain them. The convention I’m going to revolves around games, so there will be games being played and sold. There are various Comic Cons around the country where movies, shows, books, and other sci-fi/fantasy/comic things are introduced and sold. That’s the best I got.

Okay, I think I’ve got it now! Thanks!

Thanks, but it looks like it’s slowing down. Hoping that I don’t have too much of a lull in sales and that the sequel will help me once I can get it out.

I hope you are able to make a career out of it! I was just thinking, if I managed to sell 15 copies in one day, I’ll probably pass out.

I hope so too. I just need to be able to keep the books coming out. I really hope I hear from my cover artist by the end of the month.

Youve done really well to get where you are right now… be proud that your work…your passion is out there. Of course you will want it to do well, its your baby but try to focus on the fact that youve ticked something pretty impressive off the bucketlist already 🙂 Keep going Charles 🙂

ps have you checked out this blog http://maugryph.com/ ? I think it was green embers who first pointed him out to me (absolutely amazing!!) Perhaps you could consider him for cover art in the future (not slating your current one etc lol just saying…this guy should be recognised)

Thanks. I’ll take a look. I’m kind of in a contract/deal with my current cover artist for the whole series, but I’m always working on new things. I’ve always got that issue of having very little money to spend on things, which seems to cause a problem.

Thanks. I’m just twitchy about it because of the convention. I want to go in strong and on the lists. Though, I don’t think anyone will really care.

But YOU care and thats all that matters. Set your own goals, reach for beating your own personal best, be in competition with yourself…not everyone else and learn from it, grow from it…overall be proud of your achievements xB

Compete with myself . . . I think myself is already planning on cheating or hiring somebody to take me out. My other self doesn’t play fair. 😛
I’m always nervous about gaining pride because I succumb to it too easily. You can’t tell over a computer, but once I get going, I can be an arrogant little pest.

Promise. Though, it’s going to be a really long acceptance speech if I win any awards. Might have to cut most of the family out. The wife will understand. 🙂
