Has anyone ever tried to go to their reader and they’re told that it’s been marked private by its owner? I have that I have no idea what it means or how to fix it.

I am certainly no WP expert. But I know that blogs can be marked private. It sounds to me like someone you follow changed their blog from public to private. At least that is what makes sense to me. It will be interesting to hear what you find out

Is it possible that could have taken out my entire reader though? I can’t access the entire thing. Also, it says http://www.wordpress.com has been marked as private. That sounds like the whole site. I’m nervous about logging out and trying to log back in.

That definitely clinches it. Hate to say that I’m glad I’m not the only one, but . . . I’m glad I’m not the only one. We’ll all just hold hands and sing kumbaya until it comes back. 😛

I had the same problem and also posted r it – I an get in the reader now though so it seems to be fixed 🙂

It happened to me more than one time ,l couldn’t write no comment ,it just disappear .Thank you for sharing .Thank you for liking my post ( Our Anniversary ) Best greeting.jalal

I’m only being able to see 5-10 posts right now, but my reader usually works fine around midday. 🙂

Mine does that a few times. It’s like it doesn’t want to wake up either.

it happened to me from my smartphone, though i wasn’t trying to access my reader. i hovered over the W and my blog name on my taskbar to access my dashboard, notifications, the whole shebang. i got the same message. i logged out and back in, :::::crickets:::::: it’s a little disconcerting, to say the least. :-0

actually, i think my taskbar is defective. from my pc, i can’t get to my front page by clicking my blog name, it continues to ask me to log in again. :- /
i guess it’s time to contact the Help Desk.

Mine did that once when I was on a different computer that has all this internet security on it. Maybe it’s a glitch in the settings.

hhmm, maybe i’ll tinker a little today. luckily i found a work around but i’m such a nontechno geek, my tinkering has severe limitations and sometimes, unintended consequences.. 😮

heh, i feel your pain. i get agita when something goes wrong, being disconnected from my online world is NOT a good thing. LOL!

Hmmm…I use Firefox with some add ons for security…sometimes one or the other will exclude a site because of ads attached and I have to go and fix the filters…I don’t think it’s a WordPress per se problem, but some security configuration on your computer or phone or whatever. Maybe.

It fixed itself pretty quickly, so it reminded me of when there’s a server hiccup.

Ah…even in your part of the world you have server hickcoughs…when tha happens over here everything just freezes! Glad the problem resolved itself!
