Thank You (End on Comedy)

It’s been a rough day with a little bit of luck.  That luck is me deciding at the last minute to go to the craft fair with my family.  If I hadn’t then the toddler would have been standing in front of my wife when the wind knocked over a hat display and he would have had a mirror shatter over his head.  With me there, he was standing far enough away that he was only lightly grazed on the arm and he was more scared that he was in trouble.  If there’s one thing I’ve mastered in the 3.5 years of my son being around, it’s making him laugh when he’s scared.  The re-blogs, likes, shares, and well wishes were what pulled me enough out of my funk to go out there.  That means I’m thanking everyone for recharging me and putting me in the fortunate position.

Now, I’m going to be me and try my best to return the favor and love everyone has shown me.  I know I have an epic list of books to read, but never hesitate to ask me to fire off a Tweet about your book or (if you’re patient) asking me to read/review.  If you ever have a question that you think I can answer, please ask because I’m always willing to help.  At least legally.

I want to finish on a laugh (Yeah. It’s long, but a classic of comedy.):

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Glad you decided to go Charles, the change of scenery could have been exactly what you needed, too! And a day spent protecting your son from serious harm is a day far better spent than one selling books. No matter how many people like or share your things, or how many sales you make on your books, that little guy will always look up to you with admiration and respect!

    • Thanks. We actually ended everything at Burger King where we bought the little guy chicken nuggets. He stole everyone’s fries and fed me and my dad his nuggets. Then we got home and he demanded chicken nuggets. He takes after me far too often.

Brilliant! He certainly sounds like a character. And any human being who picks chicken nuggets is a level above the rest in my books!

      • It’s the only meat we can get him to eat. One problem we’re having is that he loves carrots, but the pre-school doesn’t allow them. Most kids his age aren’t able to chew carrots without choking. So it’s become a weekend and afternoon treat.

They should let him sneak a few in and monitor his eating rather than shifting him onto junk 😉 I went through a banana craze when I was younger, had them every day after school while everyone else got ice-creams! Now I can’t stand the mushy fiends…

      • The replacement is corn, peas, and cauliflower. He also has fruit smoothies. The chips and goldfish are his snacks for eating real food. He doesn’t eat much junk really.
We were told that we can’t sneak it in because another child might take some. They’re taught to share, so it could pose a problem. They gave us a few alternatives like apple cereal bars and mini-muffins.

That’s one healthy diet you’ve got going on there, kudos 🙂 Those goldfish were like precious jewels back in the day, and I the jewel-guardian with them in my lunchbox every day… Understandable, at least he’ll be delighted to be reunited with his carrots when he gets to a bigger class 😀

      • We take no credit. This is what he gravitated toward. Not sure where he picked up the goldfish habit since it started before he had school and he all of a sudden demanded goldfish.

Oh this is so good! I’m glad you went and very interesting choice of videos. Very odd actually. You’ll find out later tonight why I say that.

  5. Yes! Go Charles! Ha, but seriously good for you… sometimes we just need to pick ourselves up and move forward no matter how down we’re feeling. And I’m a veteran of those craft fairs myself… my girlfriend works for Etsy.
