34 Favorite Books Challenge

I have been challenged by beautifulorange to list my 34 favorite books.  It’s a friendly challenge, but a challenge nonetheless.  I just hope I have 34 books to put on this list because I’m one of those people who would read the same book over and over again for months.  Here is my challenger’s list:  http://beautifulorange.wordpress.com/2013/03/29/my-34-favourite-books-probably/

Now here is mine in no specific order:

  14. Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis

  28. A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin
  29. Magic Kingdom For Sale by Terry Brooks
  30. Sh*t My Dad Sales by Justin Halpern
  31. Neuromancer by William Gibson
  32. Moby Dick by Herman Melville
  33. Spider-Man: The Venom Factor by Diane Duane
  34. Earth by Jon Stewart

That’s the list I could make from all the books I’ve read in my life.  Sadly, I don’t own all of those and there are some that I’d love to put on there, but have yet to read.  So, what’s your list?

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Wow, 34 favs. I don’t think I can list them. Not to mention, I’ve forgotten a great number of titles. 🙂 My favorite though is easy, it’s Einstein’s Dream.

  2. Good work… great list. There’s a lot on there that are on my ‘to read’ list already. Someone recommended Earth to me just yesterday so I really need to get on to that.

The only one that I’ve never been able to get my head round, in terms of the adulation it received is Gatsby. But clearly still a very good book.

  3. Ooh, and is Enders Game at number one because it’s your favourite? I really need to read that before the film comes out. Although I’ve got high hopes for the film from what I’ve heard of it.
