About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

This is great! And you are so right about dumplings. When an author includes them in a story, I have a picture of different types of dumplings, all of which are very different. So being more descriptive can certain help a reader. I read three books by an author named Grace Lin. Usually when she mentions dumplings, or other foods she uses the Cantonese name and then describes them. (It’s hard to read her books and not feel very hungry! 😊)
