Today we sit down with writer and blogger Christina Weigand. Chris specializes in YA books and shares with us her inspiration, a bit about her process, and an excerpt from her work. Please enjoy this installment of 20 Questions.

Q1) When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I think I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I remember writing as a kid especially when I got to middle school where I took my first creative writing class.

Q2) How long does it typically take you to write a book?

I’m currently working on a middle grade series that I have scheduled two months to write each book. For my YA series I generally figure at least a year with it sometimes going beyond a year.

Q3) What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
