Delay in Response

I’m trying to like and comment, but not sure anything is working. Not a WordPress issue. A Charles issue.

Seems the stress caught up to me again and I’m laid up. You could stab me in the gut and it would be a relief. At least I have an idea this time. Stress induced intestinal spasms. Been taking hot showers and ‘meditating’ all morning. It just abruptly dulled when one shot was bad enough to make my body go full exorcist contortion. So I’m numb and whimpering.

Kicker is that I need a gastroenterologist to get the proper muscle relaxants for future attacks. My insurance has a small list. Earliest I can go is near the end of the month. So I need to stay chill for now.

I wonder if this is better or worse than the cracked tooth that hit me after the first book debuted. Anyway, I’m lurking and aiming to return to the vertical in a bit. That last shriek of pain did something.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  3. Oh dear – I totally understand the insurance issues – darn doctors are too expensive and insurance sucks too much. I hope you can feel better soon – do what you have to do to minimize the agony.

    • Relaxing and fighting to distract. Being stress induced makes it hard to get under control. The pain causes stress, but I need the stress to go away to get better. Oddly, the back arching spasm and scream for my life seemed to do something. Nobody even heard it thanks to a pillow.

Yeah, stress can be the worst. And dealing with doctors and insurance can make stress even worse. Here’s hoping you feel better soon.

Yikes. I hope you get well soon. I’m sure you’ve tried everything, but in case you hadn’t, I’ve often read and been witness to peppermint herbal tea helping calm intestinal issues. Maybe it can take the edge off at least? Hope it gets resolved soon.

I really do hope that you feel much better soon. I do not like it when you feel badly. It destroys my ability to be rude to you. Do it for me. Shortarse.

    • I’m back to functional and will be back to semi-normal tomorrow. Got an appointment for later in the month due to insurance having a very limited specialist list, so I’ll put an end to the sudden pain attacks. Promise.
