I should have already done my morning biking, breakfast, and showering since I have a 33 page chapter to edit today. I haven’t. Why?
My wife and a friend mention that I don’t use contractions every time. I admit that I don’t do it for narration and to make some characters seem more formal. I’ve become sensitive to this and decided to glance at the sequel. I saw the errors and started ‘fixing’ them until I realized it was now.
The truth though is that I just rewrote a scene where the Lich was trying to talk formally and make himself feel superior. Uh . . . oops. I swear that decaying pain in the butt needs to get his act together one of these days.

Stay strong!

I’m impressed that you bike first thing in the morning.

It helps wake me up and technically it’s second thing. First is getting my son clothed, fed, and on the school bus. Not an easy feat with a three-year-old.

That rotten ol’ Lich! 🙂

He’s not all bad. Though that might be more because I pity him these days. He’s starting to lose his usefulness to his dark master, so his days are numbered.

I see, but from the first story, he seemed to be a mean, scary critter!

He is mean and scary. It’s just that he’s not the meanest, scariest one in his organization.

Liches are a headache to deal with. Varijin is the closest thing I have to one at the moment, and I am tempted to strangle him just about every day.

I was wondering about what he was and I kept thinking Lich. I guess I’m lucky mine never brought me to that point. He’s just whiny because he knows he’s a bottom tier villain and nobody respects him. The poor guy just tries too hard to be the big bad villain.
