About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. I like it. We used to get those wingless bees in Nevada. We called them bumble ants after the bumble bees.

  2. Are they bees or ants? I kept reading velvet ants, so I assumed they were from that family.

Late night, cheese induced nightmares.. The tufted deer looks like it should be the vampire deer. It has a very knowing smile like the next target is within dight.

Fun post. I’ve always been interested in animals, and pride myself on knowing many that other people don’t, but al these are new to me.
I wonder why that deer has such huge teeth? After all, they’re herbivores–aren’t they?

Nature is so weird but awesome. Tenrecs are really cool because there so many wildly different kinds all that resemble other species because of convergent evolution.
