As I’ve mentioned, I’m aiming to release War of Nytefall: Rivalry in April. Just need to tighten up the manuscript by some quick run-throughs, write the blurbs, test the blurbs, and get the cover art. Yeah, I know it sounds like a lot, especially when you add this blog tour in there. Anyway, here’s the deal:
I am going to try to make special posts for each volunteer. If there’s a specific topic you want me to write about (vampires, fantasy, writing, etc.) then let me know in the comments. Otherwise, we can discuss something or you’ll leave it in my hands.
A big reason I’m asking early is because I want enough time to write these up and make this a big return. Even though I’m more teacher than author these days, I’d like to put real effort into my book releases. That means I need more time. So, drop a comment to volunteer and thanks in advanced.
(Sorry about not having a specific date in mind, but this is my first release as a teacher. I’m not sure how easily I’m going to balance this act, so I’ll admit that it might be a little clunky.)
Yep, count me in, Charles 👍😎

Please let Charles know, in the comments under his original blog post, if you are interested 😃

I’m in. Send anything you like. Some of my excerpts performed pretty well on my last tour.

Very cool. I was actually thinking of having Mab visit Lisa if you were interested.

That’s fine too. Just tell me when you want to start.

If you want to send me the set up stuff then I can work on it this week. Get it all up to the point where it’s an easy Amazon link and cover insert.

Always ready to volunteer. You can pick. We talked about top ten but that might have been for another time.

It was for this. Wrote it last night actually.

Thanks. I’ll try and think up a good one. Have to admit that I’m a little rustier than I thought in this arena.

Happy to do this, Charles. I chose vampires!

Thanks. I’ll try and think of a good specific topic. Unless you have a vampire related question.

OK. I’m back. Trying to catch up on things, so bare with me. But I wanted to add that I’m still in for helping you out. Popular topics on my blog – besides the obvious of books in general – are animals, poetry, food, and music. If you can use one of those, that would be great, because it would get your post more attention. That’s as far as I’ve managed to get with helping you figure out a post idea for my blog though. Hope the information is helpful.

Thanks. I’ll see what I can do with those. Not sure if a single poem would work as a promo.

It would be something, at least. Maybe try and add more to the post. A poem along with a bit of a post about the aspect of the story the poem is about, or something? Just a thought.

Like a poem and excerpt?

Yeah. Though you’d need to make sure the poem complimented the scene, without making sharing both pointless, if you know what I mean.

Poetry might not work then. I’ll have to figure something else out.

This is harder than I thought with those topics. The only animal that shows up a lot in Nytefall is Lost’s weird bunny, which is more weapon than beast. Music and food aren’t really factors.

Well, if you could do the poem but can’t figure out anything to go with it, it could work on its own… Better than nothing.
Or you could come over and talk about the horses. I’m sure… Erm… Sorry, can’t think of his name… The horse mad character, whatever his name is again, wouldn’t mind talking about horses. You could even just share an excerpt featuring him working with the horses (even if just a short one) if you have a spoiler-free one you think might work. It would be something animal themed, at least.
Just bouncing ideas about here…

I’ll look through the book for something like that. Bob might be a little background in this one.

Yeah… Bob. That’s who I meant. But, yeah, if you have something like that, that could work. Even if it’s only a short piece. Anyway, you’ve got my eMail, so if you come up with something, send it over. If you get stuck, shoot me a message and we can try and figure something out.
