So, I’m looking at my next series and I think I made a goof. It has two series titles:
War of Nyte
&
War of Nightfall
I’m a little lost here because I thought the name would be of the Dawn Fang’s main city. That would be Nyte. Yet, I like the sound of Nightfall more. I’m wondering if Nyte is the current city and Nightfall will be its original name. Maybe Nytefall? The problem is that I’ve already had Nyte show up in a Windemere book. So, what do people think of the titles?
Nyte? Nightfall? Nytefall? Something else?
I love this song!!!!

I like both versions, but figured there are more fans of this one.

Yeah, probably true.

I like, Nytefall.

It has a nice ring to it. I need to figure out how to work it into the story since Nyte is already in a published work.

Darn it. Hate when that happens. I’ve had to change names for that same reason. No going back once you’ve published it.

I forgot about it since it shows up in one passing line. Since it’s Nyte, I might make that the modern name since this series happens prior to Legends. Could also be the one Dawn Fangs use because a full name could help teleporters.

Thanks. Looks like the original and Nytefall will be battling it out.

Man that’s a tough one! I love Nyte, but I also love War of Nightfall.

Thanks. That covers all 3. 😜

There are already some books with the title ‘Nightfall’, Charles – including a SciFi one by Isaac Asimov & Robert Silverberg – so Nytefall, or, War of Nytefall are both good for me 😃

Well, it would be War of *insert name*, but I know what you mean about Nightfall. So, I guess I need a reason for Nytefall becoming Nyte. That or I’ll change and upload it since it’s one line. That feels like cheating though.

Sounds too science fiction. The title is going to be what the Dawn Fangs actually call the centuries long civil war.

That’s what I’m leaning toward.

Sounds like it was Nyte, then it fell. Anyway, if it was only mentioned once, you could always change it in the older work. If anyone notices it, blame their poor memory and say it was always Nytefall 😀

I’m thinking of going with two cities. Nyte is the original capital led by the old world vampires. Nytefall is the Dawn Fang city, which the leader named specifically to piss off his enemies. Modern times, Nyte is the public capital and Nytefall is the secret capital.

I like Nightfall but as Chris pointed out, there’s already prolific authors using that so I’d go with Nytefall. 🙂

Thanks. Seems a spelling change will help.

And descriptive in an unusual way.

Similar to Shayd. Though I do worry I pulled the trick too often.

I’d go with Nytefall for the location’s full name, Nyte for short.

That’s what I’m leaning towards. Just need to come up with a reason for it. Clyde, the main Dawn Fang, is a little paranoid, so he could have done it on purpose.

All it’s missing is ‘midnight’.
