Sorry. I got nothing. Really wish I had something to post about. Not much activity online anyway.
Good luck to everyone doing Thanksgiving Day prep. So much work for a single dinner.

This looks like a post. Well, we are going to do as little as possible for Thanksgiving. We usually have a fresh turkey but guess what? They aren’t any better than frozen. We also normally get a whole Turkey. This year breast only. The only thing not minimized is the wine. Yes, to mashed Yukon Gold potatoes (with goat cheese), stuffing, green beans, and gravy from Trader Joes.(tired of mine). We do go full bore on dessert. This year, bourbon, walnut, chocolate pie and Buckeye cookies (peanut butter and rice crispies). Hope you enjoy your lack of pizza day. ;-D

It’s more of a stanchion . . . *puts thesaurus away*. You have to go full bore on dessert. That’s the part that always disappears and gets taken home. Never the stuff you never want to see until next November. Sounds like we have a full-sized turkey, big brisket, and a lot of sides for less than 20 people. I can tell that the following week will be leftovers and not the good kind.

I like the leftovers more than the actual dinner. I still want to try chile verde using the remains of the turkey. It has been pretty quiet out there lately.

I like the leftover side dishes. Not a big fan of turkey in the first place and my family doesn’t do gravy. I wonder if a lot of people are taking a social media break after all of the election nonsense. Saw quite a few friends declare a break.

Could be. Maybe their tired of riots or the cold weather changed their minds. There are some left who are actively trying to make the Trump Administration fail. Seems like you’d want to be surprized by the unlikely success. I’ll be baking all night Wednesday, but I have a Thursday post already scheduled in case anyone visits me.

I’m going to avoid the political conversation. Gotten into too many of those the last two weeks. That might be why most people left. Pretty sure the protests are still going on though. Have a few friends that post about them and it’s more that the media got bored than anything stopping. I’m not involved in the Thanksgiving cooking. Think being the regular chef means I get the holiday off.

Enjoy your holiday off then. We’re going to have a houseful, so writing isn’t going to happen until Monday.

We’re going away on the day and then hosting on the weekend. Gotta love doing a holiday twice. Still not getting the pizza I requested.

Turkey pizza with garlic alfredo sauce?

Only if by turkey you mean pepperoni and garlic alfredo sauce is a spicy marinara. 😜

I maintain my culinary priorities despite the holiday.

Have a great Thanksgiving all. I’ll be working until the big day arrives and then trying to live through the family festivities. Wish me luck.

Good luck. I’m hoping to get 3 good days of writing in before the holiday. Things are going to be shaky after that for a while.

This post reminds me of Chuck Lore’s vanity cards. The ones with “I’ve got nothing” on them. So, it’s great fun to see so many comments 😀

It was amusing to see so much happen after I said I had nothing. 🙂
