It’s going to be a busy weekend, so I might not get the goal post up tomorrow. So, I’m going to share the rough sketch for the Charms of the Feykin cover.
As you can see it’s a really rough sketch, but I love the look of the spear and the way the champions are being hunted. Now, there was something else I was going to mention in regards to the cover. What was it?
Ah, yes. Jason is back. When he sent me the cover for Tribe of the Snow Tiger, Jason pointed out that there were only 5 books to go. He wants to see this through to the end and I’m thrilled that he’s still on board. His art has been a staple of the Legends of Windemere series since Beginning of a Hero and I’m really glad he is willing to work on the last ones. Judging by the sketch, we’re looking at another amazing cover that will have readers anxious to read the story.

I like the back of the hunter with the spear. Very nice! Good job!

It looks like I found the answer to my last question. I just had to scroll far enough down my reader. Glad Jason will see the project through. It gives great continuity to the series.

Funny thing is I’m starting at this comment and haven’t gotten to the question one yet. That cover continuity is more important than I realized at the beginning of all this. I still remember people getting confused when the border style was changed for Book 4.

That’s awesome news. It’s so important for a series to have a consistent “look.”

I agree. Makes me wonder how the big authors do it when the artist might get changed by the publisher.

Although, the bigger publishers do seem to re-issue series periodically and give them new covers when they do.

I remember that happening to Harry Potter last December. Definitely covers and various translations. Those books dominated the Top 100 lists, which made me wonder how many people don’t own them.
