Today, I have a versatile author and his lovely robotic assistant, Lisa. Give a hand, blog visit, and/or book review to C.S. Boyack
Thanks to Charles for opening his blog up to guest authors. It seems like we’re always looking for places to post, and this is a great opportunity.
Charles is a fantasy author, and it so happens that I wrote a fantasy story, once upon a time. It’s called The Cock of the South, and I’d appreciate it if you’d check it out.
This is a story about an alternate history, in my world Remus killed Romulus, and the Remsians are the real power instead of the Romans.
Greco-Roman mythology is full of fantasy characters who don’t get as much action as say the Nordic type characters. In fact I used both types. Europe is still Europe, and I set my tale a bit farther south.
Cobby is a Southern Dwarf who was raised by humans (think Mediterranean features). When a raid destroys his home he flees the trouble and begins an amazing adventure. The world is much bigger than he imagined, and there are other peoples he never expected. Together, all of them are being persecuted by Remus.
This story is a bit Exodus, a bit Odyssey, with a flavor of hang together or hang separately. It includes dwarves, elves, and goblins, but not like you might expect. It’s also loaded with centaurs, Amazons, satyrs, Giants, cyclops, and more. These dwarves have customs that might be a bit different than if you’re a Tolkien fan.
I’d appreciate a few more reviews on this one, and remember it’s free to read on Amazon Prime. http://a-fwd.com/asin-com=B00P4H37WC

I write speculative fiction, but don’t limit myself to fantasy. I have works of science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal. I’m not above mashing them together either. I have a blog called Entertaining Stories that is about my writing projects, but I’m not above puppy pictures and camping reports either.
Part of my blog includes posts from the Writing Cabin. This is where I interact with my characters, and they usually feature Lisa Burton, my robotic assistant and spokesmodel. Lisa recently started a series called Lisa Burton Radio where she interviews the fictional characters of other authors. Charles himself has sent her a character twice. She’s always looking for guests, so stop by and let me know if you’re interested.
I snapped a picture of Lisa helping me with dialog when I wrote The Cock of the South, and we made it into this cool paper-doll you can download at my site.
I also stay active on a few social media sites, and will provide Charles with the links.

Bio: I was born in a town called Elko, Nevada. I like to tell everyone I was born in a small town in the 1940s. I’m not quite that old, but Elko has always been a little behind the times. This gives me a unique perspective of earlier times, and other ways of getting by. Some of this bleeds through into my fiction.
I moved to Idaho right after the turn of the century, and never looked back. My writing career was born here, with access to other writers and critique groups I jumped in with both feet.
I like to write about things that have something unusual. My works are in the realm of science fiction, paranormal, and fantasy. The goal is to entertain you for a few hours. I hope you enjoy the ride.

Thanks for hosting Craig, Charles 🙂
I just got Cock of the South and will read it in a few weeks 🙂 I love your other books (as you know) and I promise I’ll get around to reviewing them VERY soon now – I love that you don’t restrain yourself to one writing style! I know I’m always in for something hoopy and different when I pick up a Boyack book! 😉
