I figure I’m not talking to anybody, so the Dawn Fang questions will be saved for next week along with the Mercenary ones I forgot. That means 2 Questions 3 along with 3 Ask-A-Characters. Why? Because I’ll be editing Crossing Bedlam and outlining, so I wanted to put up some simple posts. Still need to think up posts for when the hype stuff is over. Wait. Legends of Windemere 
These questions seem easy enough, but I still find them difficult.
I’m doing okay. I’ve developed kind of a zen attitude right now. Maybe it has something to do with a character I’m writing now.
I wouldn’t mind an uptick in local circumstances. I’m off work until Monday, and hope to move The Yak Guy Project forward by thousands of words. Maybe another pass through The Playground.
The last song was Devil In Me, by Gin Wigmore.

Interesting when a character’s persona ends up bleeding into your own. Though there are some characters where that’s a bad thing. Usually villains and anti-heroes.

Okay. Getting ready for my brother’s annual New Year’s Eve party. But I’m also rethinking my life. Some changes need to be made.
2. How would you want to be doing?
I would like to be more positive and proactive. I’m tired of going along with what others expect of me. That’s got to change in 2016.

1. That’s a tough thing to do, but probably easier with the new year coming. There’s a sense of change being easier around this time of year.
2. Amazing how often we do what others tell us instead of following our own path. Good luck.
3. This question is making me realize how few songs I actually know.

There are so many groups and downloads. A friend gave me his annual homemade Christmas CD. I didn’t recognize any of the groups on it though I loved the songs.
I guess a lot of people are still in holiday mode. I haven’t heard from a lot of people.

I kind of stick to what I know and see if Pandora slips anything new in there. Music tends to be in the background for me when I’m biking or writing.

I’m doing okay -ready for the new year to start! Can’t think of how I’d want to be doing cause the holidays have me in a bit of a daze. The last song I listened to (about 10 mind ago) is Nathan Sykes – Over and Over Again 😀

Holidays felt like they were a whirlwind for some reason. Seems to be common feeling too.

1) I’m good. Just did some book shopping (a couple of hardcovers of my own books, a few Kindle books, including your new one). And about to work on some art.
2) I want to be closer to finishing these illustrations so I can finally catch up on some reading. But the artwork itself is fun, so that helps.
3) Last song I listened to…I seriously can’t remember. Though one of them was Piano Man. That wasn’t the exact last one I’d heard. Just the last one that comes to mind.

2) I feel that way about some of my projects. As long as it’s fun then there isn’t anything wrong with it.
3) Surprisingly, I haven’t heard Piano Man in a long time. Doesn’t seem right for some reason.

How would you want to be doing? I would want to be perplexed as to which TV show invitation to plug my book I should choose when all three are on at the same time.

I guess what I wasn’t getting is even why you only had to choose one even if they were at the same time. I see James Patterson plugging his books on tons of channels at the same time. Once I managed to switch between 4 channels and kept hitting the same commercial. Are we thinking of two different things here?

1) How are you doing? >It’s been a good holiday time. All the kids had a happy Christmas Day, so I’m a happy Mom.
2) How would you like to be doing? >I would like to be a permanent employee instead of a “private contractor” and I would like to know if my publisher intends to cancel an anthology I’ve been working pretty hard on.
3) What song did I last listen to? >The last specific song I can recall is a bizarre arrangement of Auld Lang Syne with some sort of synthesizer. After which, I switched the radio to the local college jazz station.

Hi Charles, best wishes for the new year.
1. Tired but relatively happy, thank you. Children all happy and healthy, and Sian and I still sneak the occasional kiss (we even had a cuddle yesterday!). Life is running away faster than I can blink.
2. I wish I was in possession of less means to procrastinate and more motivation, and though I have been creative and writing poetry rather prolifically, I wish I had some peace and quiet to edit my novel (I hired an editor and his work is great, I just need to process it all) and do some serious writing!
3. last song I listened to was ‘silent house’ by crowded house (the album, ‘life on earth’ is pretty cool). I got the new album from my fave heavy metal band for Christmas and am hoping for the new enya c.d. for my birthday (I have an eclectic taste in music but am not keen on modern pop or ‘dance’ music, you’ll never see me at a rave!).

1. Definitely feels like life isn’t willing to slow down. That whole ‘stop and smell the roses’ concept seems like a pipe dream. 🙂
2. I’ve been told that going to the local library can help. Beyond that I’ve got nothing. Maybe turn the means of procrastination into rewards for getting a certain amount of work done?
3. That is an interesting combination. I listen to a variety, but it usually comes down to Rock n Roll. Some modern music catches my attention since I like unique sounds. Usually the music is background anyway.

The library is always a good idea, mon amis. I wrote most of my novel in a library. Being surrounded by so many books, all those accomplishments, was motivating. Note to self, perhaps I should find some time for myself and visit the library again. Hoho! See what I did there, time for myself indeed! Keep smiling, Charles, I believe in you.

Good point. After having a full house for the last week and a half, I barely remember what time for myself is like. If only authors got privacy and space as soon as they announced their career path.
