Progress is obviously being made and I hope to get more sketches this week. The hope is that things will be ready to go by Christmas. Maybe even earlier if this is a low chaos week for everyone involved. Not sure when the best time to release the book will be, but I’m thinking Christmas Eve and Day might be tough. Fingers are crossed that I can do it Sunday or next Monday. This is coming dangerously close to being a declaration of a release date. Don’t hold me to this.
Anyway, I’m making another call for volunteers. The funds are a little low, which means I might not be able to use all of the paid promo sites. That means word of mouth and reviews and blogging is even more important this time. My head is kind of spinning too, but I went through the previous calls to action and listed everyone who volunteered. An early thank you for that.
Oh, and I’m going to be attaching a tag list for people to use on the promo post too. Just an easy copy/paste.
One question before I end on a video that nobody will listen to:
- Do I figure out a way to promote all of the previous Legends of Windemere books or only do the Bundle? I’m thinking the Bundle for the HTML file I send to everyone who volunteers and make a slideshow with a list of links below for the one on my blog, which would replace my bio. No sense in saying who I am and listing my social media sites while I’m on my social media sites. Throw Ichabod Brooks in there too.

Okay. I should have everything. Right now I’m just gathering volunteers for the ‘IT’S ALIVE!’ post that will go up over the course of a few days. I’m doing my usual scatter shot style with people getting the info and posting whenever they have an opening. 😀

I’d recommend you Promo the new release, but do that slideshow for the others as well and Send me the details, plus a preferred date Charles and I’ll do my best 👍😃🐵

Thanks. The slideshow does seem like the best idea. I realized as I wrote another comment that I can simply put a link to my Amazon Author Page instead of a list of individual links. Sadly, the slideshow can’t use links. Do you want me to put you on the list for the HTML or something special? I’m not really pushing for a preferred date right now only because I’m not sure how to do this so close to Christmas. What’s your opinion on promoting a new book on Christmas Day?

HTML or something special is up to you Charles. Regards Christmas Day – there WILL be people who don’t do Christmas, so for that day why not do a Poster/Banner type post complete with links for your available books and announcing the imminent new release that’s upcoming.
I might get a chance to be online and can reblog it, or you can send it to me for scheduling.
That’s separate from the NOW AVAILABLE NEW RELEASE post 😃

I’ll do that if the timing works. Right now I might be releasing the book a few days before Christmas. Right now I only have a simple poem going up on Christmas. I might have to go with the HTML for now since I don’t have the time (or an idea) for anything special. I’d like to get back into creating guest posts for January, but the kid’s upcoming break is going to be a challenge. Not the ideal time for a release, but I have to roll with the punches. Keep thinking there’s a way to do something special for Christmas. Maybe a collage of all the covers? Feels like there are so many things to figure out since I’m cutting it so close.

That’s what I was looking for and found one after an hour. My laptop is actually bare bones in terms of Image Editing.

Thanks. Though I can’t do it until I get the last piece of cover art. Always that small catch when I get an idea. 😦 Unless it’s a collage of the first 8 and then the 9th is standing on its own since it’ll only be a few days old.

So I was thinking and maybe having the first 8 in the collage and the 9th on its own is the smarter idea. Once I get back to my laptop, I’ll send you the 8 covers if that’s okay.
By the way, where is the trailer you made for your promo work? I would want to include that in the post as well to give credit.

Not a problem. The final cover art for the new book won’t be ready until the end of the week as long as nothing goes wrong. So I’m looking at a possible Sunday release.

The bio will be in the HTML that I send. Only reason it won’t be on the one I post is because my bio is automatically at the bottom of every post. I’m thinking of posting a link to my Amazon Page instead of a long list of links. Probably be easier on the eyes.

Great. I’m really hoping to get stuff out by then. Considering asking if anybody had space for a guest blog next year, but I might have to make that offer once I lock in the release. Be embarrassing to bring it up and not be able to deliver.
