First a big thank you to Sally Ember for having me on her show. It was a lot of fun and I’m still on the adrenaline rush. I recommend any author talk her about an appearance because it is a lot of fun. So check out her blog and her books by clicking HERE!
A few more thank yous to those who asked questions and made comments:
Always a pleasure to interact with the author behind the exciting thriller, MY GRL.
Fellow fantasy author who has the Pearseus series bundled. Thank you for throwing in a few laughs and supporting me.
Glad you enjoy the show and I hope you discover Luke’s secret soon.
Again, I had a lot of fun and a big thank you to everyone who could make. Please visit and like the video on YouTube and help spread the word. Also don’t forget to subscribe to Sally’s YouTube feed, which means you’ll get an update whenever a new video goes up and you can see another author enjoy the spotlight.
Now I’m off to celebrate with some pizza.
Great interview Charles! Lovely to see your face and hear you speak. 🙂

Thanks. Glad I got the haircut. 🙂

It’s funny how in ‘real life’ people always look different from their photos. (inverted commas cos it’s not quite face to face!!)

It’s close though. Definitely live and I don’t own a make up department. 😛

Ha ha! I’ll let you off when it comes to the makeup. 😉 Mind you if you’d been appearing on a regular national TV programme, they would’ve made you up. Even men don’t escape at that stage! You had a lucky escape… 😉

I’d hope they make me green. 😀

That would be funny! I’d pay money to see that. 😉

Well, this was just cool. Thanks for sharing. I was up late editing and slept in so I did not get to participate. Rossi gave you hell, but you handled it well! 🙂

Yeah. He was having fun. Teasing between fantasy authors. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hey, that hurts! 😀 I love Charles!

Loved this! I found it interesting that the idea of a spreadsheet came up. I keep one for all of the characters in all of my books; I can’t imagine not having one for a series!

Thanks. I never really thought of a spreadsheet. My RPG background had me making ‘character sheets’ for each one. Though right now I’m trying to decide which idea to tackle next. 🙂

Really enjoyed the hour. Thanks for the mention here (which wasn’t necessary but nice). I was going to make a comment about how nice your haircut looked, but I think Sally would have smacked my knuckles with a ruler.

Probably. Though she might habe been too busy smacking Nicholas’s knuckles. 🙂

I know… sigh…
It’s true, though: Wonder Woman’s most impressive super power *has* to be fitting into that suit! 😀

I’m going to guess that she goes to the same magic tailor that the other superheroes go to. Though I think her current outfit has pants, so it makes more sense than the skintight, one piece, nothing to the imagination thing that Superman wears. At least he doesn’t have his underwear on the outside any more. 🙂

Looks like you’re a genuine t.v. star now. Pretty sure you can put that on your resume. 🙂

Next step, movie star . . . or going back to bed. Depends on what I feel like doing this morning. 😀

Tough choice. Back to bed has a lot of appeal.

So tempted, but these books won’t edit themselves. I asked and they’re being insolent.

I’m excited to be involved in your articulate, funny, devoted friends and fans conversation, here, Charles! Thanks, again, for being on the show and letting everyone know about it!
Best to you all,
Sally
P.S. Since I’m against corporal punishment and am nonviolent, there will be no knuckle-rapping. Just verbal admonishments (when they’re deserved, as in Nicholas’ case)!

Use the right words on an author and they’ll wish for corporal punishment. ‘You make 50 Shades of Grey look like Shakespeare!’ then get the tissues for the tears. 😛

Lol – come on now you two, you have to admit that not everyone can squeeze into *that* uniform! 😀

I do agree. Though she is an Amazonian Princess. Maybe it’s magic. 😀

Such a pleasure watching you Charles! 🙂
I have to say, you have a great voice for this – calm and gentle. I would have loved to hear more about your personal life, but that’s just me. 🙂

It isn’t that exciting. In fact, it can be rather boring since I tend to be home all day. Either writing or child wrangling. 🙂

First of all, thanks very much for the kudos, Charles–I really appreciate it. Secondly, I caught your interview soon after you had posted it online. I haven’t finished watching it, but you’ve handled yourself like a pro. Great job, buddy! And now I have a voice that goes with a face. 🙂
Funny how the feed cut out there for a second and the “hello of death” came through loud and clear. Again, like a pro, you never faltered. You’re totally cut out for this!
Blessings.

Glad you liked it so far. Apparently, some people think my voice is deeper than they expected. Odd how we never notice our voices that often. At least I don’t.
I was terrified about that happening. Sally gave me some tips on what to do, but for it to happen so early in the interview almost made me start laughing. Technology never fails to through a curve ball.
