Feeling Helpless

Like a screaming child
I feel lost and scared
As I hear your plight
Too far to give a hand
And barely lend an ear

I can only sit and wait
For flitting chances
To be the friend you need
The friend I am
Even through a screen

I feel helpless
A feeble spectator
With a heavy heart
Only able to cheerAcross our great divide

Every morning I wake
Hoping for a sign
That you are happy
And smiling
All those miles away

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
