So, I’m selling ebooks at a decent rate.  Possibly even a faster rate than before.  The interesting thing here is that I’m slipping down the Top 100 list rankings.  This doesn’t worry me because I knew it would happen.  I’m just amused that one stat is going up and the other is going down.  It could all change once the sequel comes out, which I don’t have a release date for.  I’m aiming for end of April, but we all remember what happened last time I declared a release date.

One of the odd things about this slip is that I’m being passed by ebooks that are 12.99, 9.99, and 14.99.  All by well-established authors, so that’s understandable.  So, I guess this means that the .99 cent price can only get you so far.  Eventually, you’ll hit a wall as far as the lists go because of the cemented authors with loyal fanbases.  Several of the fantasy masters put out new books in the last few weeks, so to get as far as I did during this time might be more impressive than I first realized.

All that being said, I really hope I can release the second book before I hit the convention in April.  It’d be a nice bit of news to throw out there when handing out the free copies of Beginning of a Hero.  I’m hoping to take some time next week to set up the drafts for Createspace and Kindle, so I only have to add the cover art and off we go.  I should look into the advertising path I plan to take too because some of the things I did for the first book were for news on me and not the book.  I should type up some of the necessary blurbs too.  AskDavid.com and Goodkindles each require their own special blurb, so I should get that done when I have the time.
